Sowa International Logo Use Policy | Official Rules & Branding Guidelines 2025

Introduction

The official Sowa International Logo Use Policy explains how certified salons, beauty academies, trainers and partners can correctly use the Sowa International | Salon Owners Welfare Association Registered by Govt of India logo.
This policy protects our brand identity and ensures that all members follow the right professional, legal and digital branding standards at local, national and international levels.

Only approved and verified Sowa Certified Salons, Sowa Certified Beauty Academies, Sowa Certified Trainers and International Salon ID holders are allowed to use the Sowa International logo according to the rules listed below.

1. Preamble

Sowa International | Salon Owners Welfare Association Registered by Govt of India promotes ethical beauty education, salon business growth and welfare of beauty professionals.
To maintain brand quality and avoid misuse, this document defines the official rules for using the Sowa International logo across all print and digital platforms.

2. The Sowa International Logo

The Sowa International logo represents trust, standardised training, verified certification and professional identity in the beauty industry of India and abroad.
The logo is a protected mark and cannot be altered, edited or misused under any circumstance.

3. Authorized Logo Users

3.1 Without Permission (Internal Use)

  • Sowa International Head Office

  • National & International Committees

  • Verification & Certification Departments

  • Official Sowa promotional team

3.2 With Written Authorization

  • Sowa Certified Salons

  • Sowa Certified Beauty Academies

  • Sowa Certified Trainers

  • International Salon ID holders

  • Entities listed on the official Sowa website

3.3 Individual Students

Students may use the logo only on certificates issued directly by Sowa International.
Self-created certificates or promotional materials are not permitted.

4. Prohibited Uses

The Sowa International Logo must NOT be used on:
❌ Certificates created by local salons/academies
❌ Training materials made without Sowa approval
❌ Personal promotional content by students or trainers
❌ Non-certified salon/academy social media posts
❌ Any claim of accreditation not provided by Sowa
❌ Products, packaging, banners or workshops not registered

Misuse can result in:

  • Cancellation of certification

  • Suspension of International Salon ID

  • Blacklisting

  • Legal action under Indian cyber & trademark law

5. Criteria for Granting Permission

Permission will be granted only when:

  • Logo use is not misleading

  • Entity has verified Sowa certification

  • Purpose is professional and compliant

  • No harm is caused to Sowa’s reputation

  • Written request is officially submitted

6. Reproduction Rules

To maintain brand standard:

  • Logo must remain in original design and proportions

  • No stretching, recoloring, rotation or editing

  • Minimum size must maintain clarity

  • Must be placed on a clean, readable background

  • Only official PNG/SVG files provided by Sowa may be used

  • Must always include the official name:
    Sowa International | Salon Owners Welfare Association Registered by Govt of India

7. Rules for Digital Use

Logo may be used on:

  • Verified Sowa Certified Salon profile

  • Verified Sowa Certified Academy profile

  • Approved digital certificates

  • Official listing and ID verification pages

  • Authorized Sowa promotional posts

Digital rules:

  • Logo must be separate from other brands

  • No false representation or exaggerated claims

  • No non-authorized commercial use

8. Reporting Misuse

If you find misuse of the Sowa International logo, report immediately:

Policy Amendment – Logo Use on Student Training Certificates 17/12/2025

(Effective from 01 January 2026)

10. Amendment: Controlled Use of Sowa International Logo on Student Certificates

With effect from 01 January 2026, Sowa Certified Salons, Beauty Academies, Professional Beauty Trainers and Professional Makeup Artists are permitted to print the Sowa International logo on student training certificates only under the following mandatory conditions:

10.1 Mandatory Written Submission

Before issuing any student certificate carrying the Sowa International logo, the issuing salon, academy or trainer must submit complete student details in writing to the Sowa International Head Office for official record and compliance purposes.

10.2 Student Details Requirement

The following minimum details must be submitted for each student:

  • Student full name

  • Course / training name

  • Training duration

  • Issuing salon / academy / trainer name

  • Certificate issue date

Certificates issued without prior or post submission of student details will be treated as unauthorized logo use.

10.3 Logo Use Charges

A minimum logo use charge per student certificate shall be applicable.
The logo use charges will be:

  • Decided by Sowa International, and

  • Finalised through mutual understanding between
    Sowa International and the issuing Salon / Beauty Academy / Professional Trainer / Makeup Artist.

No certificate shall be considered valid unless the approved logo use charges have been complied with.

10.4 Scope Limitation

This permission applies only to student training certificates and does not grant:

  • Ownership rights over the Sowa International logo

  • Authority to issue Sowa certification independently

  • Permission for commercial or promotional misuse

10.5 Non-Compliance Consequences

Failure to follow this amendment may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of logo use rights

  • Cancellation of Sowa certification or listing

  • Financial penalty

  • Legal action under applicable branding and trademark laws
